Travelling within, from, to Sweden
I studied at the University of Gothenburg (Göteborg), Sweden for a while. Back then I collected quite some information and travelled a bit in Scandinavia. So if you plan to travel to, from, or within Scandinavia you might find the information on this page useful. Bus
Busses within, to and from Sweden are pretty inexpensive. Cheaper than train and flights, usually.Bus companies for travelling within/to/from Scandinavia
- Säfflebussen - a Swedish bus company that you can travel with all around Scandinavia, and also to and from Germany. Only Swedish pages currently.
- Swebus Express covers some of Sweden but also Kopenhagen and Oslo (Swedish).
- Nor-Way Bussekspress: within Norway, also to/from Sweden, Kopenhagen, Poland, Hamburg (English).
- Eurolines Scandinavia: Most of their site doesn't work unfortunately.
- eurolines international doesn't offer a lot of information, mostly links to their national pages, e.g.:
- Eurolines Germany: bus lines from/to Sweden/Germany. Note that their site doesn't work with several browsers.
Flying
Taking airplanes to/from Scandinavia can make sense. You can fly with Ryan Air from Lübeck, Germany, to Stockholm and back. Ryan Air also offers a connection between Frankfurt/Hahn and Göteborg, Sweden.As usual with Ryan Air, the flights are ridiculously cheap: Each way costs from about 25€.
