Travelling within, from, to Sweden

I studied at the University of Gothenburg (Göteborg), Sweden for a while. Back then I collected quite some information and travelled a bit in Scandinavia. So if you plan to travel to, from, or within Scandinavia you might find the information on this page useful. It contains mostly information about how to get around in Sweden and how to get from Germany to Scandinavia, but there is also some information on Norway and Denmark as well as other European countries.

If you would like to add to or correct anything on this page, please send me an email to rfreund at uos dot de.

Bus

Busses within, to and from Sweden are pretty inexpensive. Cheaper than train and flights, usually.

Flying

Taking airplanes to/from Scandinavia can make sense. You can fly with Ryan Air from Lübeck, Germany, to Stockholm and back. Ryan Air also offers a connection between Frankfurt/Hahn and Göteborg, Sweden.
As usual with Ryan Air, the flights are ridiculously cheap: Each way costs from about 25€.
